Joan of Arc, also eminently known as “The Maid of Orleans” is rendered to be a heroine of France for the courageous part she played throughout the Lancastrian phase of the Hundred Years’ War. She bizarrely claimed that she had mystic visions where she was commanded by Saint Catherine of Alexandria, Saint Margaret and Archangel Michael to aid Charles VII recover France from the state of English domination during the Hundred Years’ War. She was wistfully burned at the stake after being declared guilty of various charges on 30 May, 1431.
