Even rock bands like Def Leppard need time to attract an audience and be well known. Their story starts in 1977, but the success came only in the ’80s and early ’90s. Their track, “Bringin’ On the Heartbreak” became one of the first rock music videos played on MTV in 1982. Their next album, Pyromania from 1983 was full of hits and made it to the top to become 10x Platinum in the United States alone. The went through some personnel changes, but as of 1992, the band members were: Rick Allen (backing vocals and drums), Rick Savage (backing vocals and bass), Joe Elliott (lead vocals), Vivian Campbell (backing vocals and guitar). Phil Collen (backing vocals and guitar).
