5. 21-Year-Old Rock Star Buddy Holly (1958)
This picture was snapped only one year prior to his unfortunate death by plane crash. Whether you realize it or not, this glasses-sporting musician actually left a huge mark on rock n’ roll – he pioneered the two-guitarists, one-bassist, one-drummer lineup that most rock bands follow to this date. He was cited by several artists such as Elton John and The Beatles to be a tremendous influence in their musical careers. In 1986, Buddy Holly was ranked on Rolling Stone Magazine’s Top 100 Artists list.
